While many of us take time to rest and enjoy the season, our teams continue their dedicated work, generating electricity, maintaining essential services, and remaining ready to respond to any unexpected outages. TAU is also proud to support the island’s Christmas spirit through the festive lighting that brightens our communities each year.

“As we enter the festive season, we want our customers to enjoy the celebrations knowing that TAU will continue to provide support when needed. Our teams are on call to respond to faults, and we encourage everyone to be aware of their connection number and have our fault phone line saved, as this season can bring sudden weather changes,” said Chief Executive Officer, Lesley Katoa.

Key Information for the 2025 Festive Season

• TAU’s office will close at 1pm on Wednesday 24^th December 2025, and re–open on Monday 5^th January 2026.

• TAU’s faults team remains on call throughout Christmas and New Year.
• TAU’s 24/7 fault phone line is 25257.

In an emergency or when you have no electricity

• Know your power connection number (a letter followed by numbers), located on your meter box or the top right-hand corner of your electronic bill.
• Stay clear of loose or fallen power cables, always assume they are live.
• Phone our 24/7 fault line immediately to report faults or potentially dangerous situations.
• Tune in to Cook Islands radio for updates during and after severe weather.
• Above all, prioritise the safety of yourself and your family.
