Te Aponga Uira is the electricity generator, distributor and retailer supplying electricity to the island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. With around 50 staff, and around 6000 customers, our vision is to empower the community through sustainable and innovative energy solutions.
We are on a mission to guard and protect the energy security the community has enjoyed with us for more than 30 years. We’ll do that by embracing new technologies that deliver benefits to our customers and in doing so, help the Cook Islands meet international commitments to achieve net zero emissions.
Te Aponga Uira is governed by a Board of Directors which oversees activity, ensuring we meet our obligations to customers and as a State-Owned Enterprise.
