We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team in a newly established role.
Reporting to the CEO and the Board of Directors as required the role is charged with accountability for developing planning and implementing Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Risk Management strategies that align with TAU’s business strategy and commitment to employee and public safety. The role is responsible for ensuring TAU’s compliance with Health and Safety guidelines in a high-risk industry.
This is a hands-on position; the successful applicant will have excellent time management and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to lead initiatives to enhance health and safety standards along with the ability to communicate at all levels with the different Divisions throughout TAU.
The successful applicant will have a relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised institution with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior management leadership position to lead initiatives to enhance Health, Safety and Wellbeing throughout TAU.

Electrical Engineer

The position reports to the Chief Engineer and the CEO as required the role is responsible to assist with the development, maintenance and operations of the power system on Rarotonga. The role covers responsibilities in both the Network and Generation division, with responsibilities in TAU’s Renewable Energy development.
This is a hands-on position; the successful applicant will have excellent time management and problem solving skills with the ability to forward planning, providing technical support and guidance to operational staff, assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues on the system.
The successful applicant will need a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognised institution with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in the utility or energy sector, proficiency in engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD for design and analysis, along with an awareness of industry trends regarding alternative energy generation.
