Finance Officer – Cashier
If you have excellent communication skills, have achieved NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent), and are confident working with figures, you will be joining a small and friendly team.
Meter Reader
If you enjoy working outdoors, this could be the right role for you. Applicants must hold a current A1, B Driver’s Licence. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.

Financial Controller
Te Aponga Uira (TAU) is a government-owned utility responsible for generating, distributing and retailing electricity on the main island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. As such TAU is dedicated to delivering reliable and sustainable electrical energy to the community of Rarotonga.

We have an opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our team.
As is expected, the role is responsible for TAU’s financial planning and analysis, financial reporting including preparation of annual financial statements and budgets and monthly management accounts, assisting with business plans and strategic planning, implementation and monitoring of systems, recommending changes in policies and procedures that will improve financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborating fully with TAU’s other divisional teams through consultation, cross divisional support and mentoring.
The position reports to the CEO, and the Board of Directors as required.
This is a hands-on position; the successful applicant will have excellent time management and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to train and develop a team, providing motivation and guidance, and hands-on monitoring of performance along with the ability to communicate at all levels with the different Divisions throughout TAU.
The successful applicant will be a certified Chartered Accountant (or similar) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management position to lead the financial, strategic direction for TAU.
