Request For Tender – Airport PV (North & VOR) Project
    July 22, 2022
On behalf of the TAU Board, Management and Staff, we congratulate Papa Te Ngamata on his retirement. Papa Te has been one of our most dedicated Meter Readers for 12.5 years. Rain or shine, even on Public Holidays, our Meter Readers go out. Papa Te joined the company in November 2009 and retired in late June 2022.

During his tenure, Papa Te has demonstrated exemplary service and has always gone above and beyond the duties of a Meter Reader. Of note was Papa Te’s swift response in assisting a Customer who had fallen in the house and could not move. Papa Te has committed the meter reading walks to memory and knows the people he meets on those walks. Upon arriving at the Customer’s house, the Customer would always greet him at the window, but on this occasion, the Customer did not respond to Papa Te calling, and upon checking, he was found on the floor unable to move.

Papa Te’s First Aid skills were put into action that day, and with the assistance of the ambulance, the Customer received medical aid and recovered. Papa Te was awarded a special recognition for his services and for consistently excelling in delivering excellence to our Customers.

Papa Te is looking forward to spending more time on the plantation to supply the markets with his family and serving the people of Matavera.

Meitaki Maata Papa Te Ngamata, and all the best in your future endeavours.
